Hi, I'm the maker behind AHCeramics.

I was born in Missouri and moved to San Diego, California when I was 13. My love for ceramics began in high school, and more than twenty years later, I still find the same joy in working with clay every day.

I continued studying ceramics while earning my degree in Human Development at UC Davis, taking studio classes alongside my coursework and seeking out workshops whenever I could. Clay has always been a constant in my life—a creative practice that continues to challenge and inspire me.

Nature is at the heart of everything I make. I draw inspiration from California's landscapes, native plants, and the flowers growing in my own garden. Whether I'm carving botanical details into a mug or creating a bird feeder meant to become part of someone's outdoor space, I hope each piece reflects a connection to the natural world.

Today I live in Santa Monica, California, where I create my work at Still Life Ceramics, a wonderful community studio that has become my creative home. Every piece is handmade, one at a time, with care and attention to both beauty and function.
